Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers

SteadySkin is operated by ANKRD Labs LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. This policy explains how SteadySkin handles information that may be treated as consumer health data under laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law. It supplements the general privacy notice.

What the app and website keep on your device

The SteadySkin app is designed to keep treatment records, reactions, notes, photos, comparisons, reminders, and related health details in app-private storage on your iPhone. The website can keep starting-point choices, saved questions, checklist ticks, calculator entries, and device-form answers in your browser. ANKRD Labs LLC does not receive those local records merely because you create or save them.

Information can leave your device when you deliberately export or share it, send it to support, submit a waitlist email, or use an operating-system or third-party sharing feature. Your choice to send something determines what the recipient receives.

Categories we may collect and where they come from

• Support information: contact details, message contents, and any health or technical information you choose to send directly to support.
• Waitlist information: the email address you submit directly to the named email provider and the subscription-confirmation record.
• Website delivery and security information: ordinary network and request data processed by the hosting provider to deliver and protect the site. A visit to a health-related page may itself reveal an interest in that topic.
• Optional aggregate website measurement: when the approved measurement gate is enabled, a coarse page category, pageview, performance vital, and related network, country, browser, device, operating-system, and HTML-element attribution selector information processed by Vercel. SteadySkin replaces the exact URL and route before transmission; form values and tool state are not intentionally included in those URL and route events.
• Purchase and support status: limited information needed to identify or restore an eligible Apple purchase after the app launches. Apple remains responsible for App Store payment processing.

These categories come from you, your browser or device when it requests the service, and service providers acting for SteadySkin. SteadySkin does not buy health profiles from data brokers or infer a diagnosis from your reading.

Why we use it

We use information only to provide a feature you requested, respond to support or privacy requests, operate the waitlist, restore eligible purchases, secure and troubleshoot the service, meet legal obligations, and investigate misuse. We do not use consumer health data for advertising, employment, insurance, credit, or behavior-based upgrade targeting.

Who may receive it

Information may be processed by the providers needed for the action you requested: Vercel for website hosting, security, and optional aggregate Web Analytics and Speed Insights; Buttondown when you submit the launch-waitlist form; Apple for App Store purchases and platform services; and ANKRD Labs LLC's email provider when you contact support. Information may also be disclosed when required or permitted by law, or to protect rights, safety, and service security.

ANKRD Labs LLC does not sell consumer health data. It does not permit third parties to collect consumer health data across unrelated websites for advertising through SteadySkin.

Your request choices

Depending on the law that applies, you may be able to ask whether we collect, share, or sell consumer health data about you; request access to or a list of recipients; withdraw consent; ask us to stop collecting or sharing; request correction or deletion; or appeal a refusal. Local app and browser records should first be viewed, corrected, exported, or deleted on that device because ANKRD Labs LLC does not possess them.

For an off-device request, use the current support contact and put Consumer health data request in the subject. We may need to verify your identity before acting. To appeal a response, reply to that support thread with Consumer health data appeal in the subject.

Security incidents and notice

If SteadySkin confirms a breach involving consumer health data for which the law requires notice, we will notify affected people and regulators in the manner and time the applicable law requires. The notice will describe what happened, what information was involved, steps we have taken, and practical steps affected people can consider, when that information is known and legally required.

Changes and official references

Material changes will be dated and communicated as required before applying them to consumer health data. This policy was prepared against the current Washington Attorney General guidance and Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A. Those sources do not replace legal advice about which provisions apply to SteadySkin.
